How do I get to the club?

What time does the club open and when does it close?

We’re open Fridays 9pm – 3am and Saturdays 9pm – 4am*

Please be aware of lockout laws in Sydney that mean our last entry time to the club is 1.30am, and there are no passouts after this time. The bar will cease serving alcohol at 3am.

Where can I buy tickets to the club?

You can purchase tickets online, often saving you a bit of money if you book in advance! Of course, you can also purchase your tickets on the door. If you want to skip the queues we recommend you arrive early and purchase tickets. Tickets are non refundable.

What are the ticket terms & conditions:

Entry with a ticket is guaranteed before 12pm (providing passing security and ID assessment). All ticket holders must be inside the venue by lockout at 1.30am (Refunds will not be honored for guests who are not in by the lockout time).

The event organiser and venue reserves the right to withdraw, reschedule or substitute artists and/or vary advertised prices, event times and inclusions without notice. The event organiser and venue reserves the right of admission and to enforce the Venue Entry Conditions. Please check the event organiser or venue website for additional terms and conditions of entry to the event.

There are no refunds or exchanges on any ticket except as required by and/or specified by the Live Performance Australia Industry Code of Practice.

It is a condition of sale that tickets may not be offered for unauthorised re-sale, on 3rd party websites such as Ebay or Gumtree. Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including online auction sites) or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes. If a ticket is used in breach of these conditions, it may be cancelled without refund and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.

Moshtix may, without prior written notice, invalidate any tickets that are believed to be in breach of these terms and conditions, and no refund, replacement or compensation will be offered.

What do you accept as valid ID?

Chinese Laundry  is strictly an 18+ venue. To gain entry everyone will need to show valid ID: either a Driver’s Licence, Photo Card or Passport (International passports are accepted).

Do you have deals for students?

We don't have student specific discount however we do offer $5 discount if you submit a guestlist: http://www.chineselaundryclub.com.au/guestlist

Do you have a dress code?

• Keep your shirt on at all times
• Shorts are allowed excluding boardies, football shorts or stubbies.
• No Rats tails or Neck tattoos.
• Shoes must be worn at all times. (No thongs or gym shoes)
• No group patches or insignia are permitted at any time.


How do you get onto the guestlist?

Where can I leave my jacket/bag?

The cloakroom is available during winter and can be found upstairs near the kitchen in El Loco.

Is there a cash machine at the club?

Yes, upstairs near the cloakroom.

I lost an item while at the club, what should I do?

If you lose a personal item inside the club please contact a member of staff directly at Slip Inn. If you’re reading this from home, having already lost an item in the club please give us a call on (02) 8295 9999.

Is there disabled access?

Yes, but on the lower level only.

Can I eat and smoke at the club?

An outdoor smoking courtyard is located upstairs at El Loco, serving awesome Mexican food. There is also a smoking area outside the club downstairs.

Where can I find the set times?

Set times are only revealed on the week of the event on facebook or in the facebook event, and can also be found on posters inside the club.

Do you record any of the sets?

Occasionally some of the sets at the club will be recorded and uploaded to Mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/ChineseLaundry

Where can I find photos from the club night I went to?

Official photos from Friday & Saturday night get uploaded to our Galleries page on the following Tuesday. Alternatively you can find them on our Club Facebook page.

Can I take photos at the club?

Personal photos are fine but we do not allow any unauthorised filming or photography during club nights. Anyone found doing this without prior permission is at risk of having his or her property confiscated.

There may be promotional and/or commercial photography, video and/or audio recording of the club, the DJ's and customers. By entering the club, you consent to the filming and recording of your likeness for use by Chinese Laundry. Such consent includes use by Chinese Laundry for any and all purposes in all media.

Do you have any deals for birthdays at the club?

We offer birthday lists for groups over 10 where the birthday person will recieve free entry for themselves +2 and a bottle of champagne on arrival. These lists can be set up with promoters or on the guestlist page of this website.

How do I submit a demo?

Submit your demos to [email protected] along with clear contact details and a short biography listing your style and experience. We advise that you send your music via Soundcloud / Mixcloud or YouTube streams and also include links to your social pages. We receive a lot of demo submissions and endeavour to listen to them all. If we like what we hear and want more information, we will contact you.


*Our lisence to operate runs until 4am, after the bar shuts at 3am the closure time is purely dependent on the crowd and DJs between 3-4am.
